How to use this worksheet
- Read the word aloud and use it in a short sentence, such as “I can see the cat.”
- Say the word slowly and point to the letters for each sound. If one part doesn’t sound the way it looks, point it out — that is the part to learn by heart.
- Trace the word, saying each letter name and starting at the dots.
- Read the word again, then cover it and write it from memory. Check and fix it together.
