Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains what information PencilPip (“we”, “us”) collects when you use pencilpip.com, and how it is used.

Names and words you type

Worksheets are created entirely in your web browser. The names, word lists and class lists you type arenot sent to or stored on our servers. Student names are never added to page addresses or shared links.

Some settings are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are ready next time — for example your most recent word list. A class list is saved only if you choose “Remember my class list on this device”, and you can remove it at any time by unticking that box or clearing your browser’s site data.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and which countries visitors come from — so we can improve it. These may include Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, and Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Advertising

To keep PencilPip free, we may show advertising in the future. Advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance. If and when we add advertising, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

Children’s privacy

PencilPip is designed for parents and teachers. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children’s names typed into a worksheet stay in the browser and are not collected by us.
