About PencilPip

PencilPip makes free, printable handwriting worksheets for children ages 3 to 8. Our idea is simple:practice is more meaningful with your own words — a child’s name, this week’s spelling list, or a named packet for every student in a class.

How our worksheets are made

Every letter on PencilPip is drawn from our own single-line handwriting model, in the simple ball-and-stick print style used in many US preschools and kindergartens. Because each letter is stored as the strokes a child actually writes — in order, and in the right direction — our tracing lines follow the real path of the pencil, and the starting dots show exactly where each letter begins.

Worksheets are generated right in your browser, so they’re fast, and the names and words you type stay on your device.
