PreschoolKindergarten1st Grade
Swap in your own words, add a title, or print a set for your whole class.
About this worksheet
Phrases on this page: “Lucky me”, “Pot of gold”, “Wear green”, “Over the rainbow”.
Writing a short phrase practices even spacing between words — leave about one finger of space. Children can copy their favorite onto a card or drawing afterwards.
Tips
- Use green crayons in three different shades.
- Hide the finished page as a “leprechaun” surprise.
- Count the leaves on a clover: three or four?
How to use this worksheet
- Read each word aloud together before writing it.
- Trace the solid example with a finger, then the dotted copies with a pencil, starting at each dot.
- Cover the example and try to write the word from memory, then check it.
- Finish with a drawing or a card using your child’s favorite word.
Printing tips
- Print at 100% (“Actual size”) on US Letter or A4 so the lines stay the right size.
- Plain copy paper works for pencils and crayons. Use slightly heavier paper if your child likes markers.
- Need a different size or tracing style? Choose Customize to change the paper, line size and tracing style before printing.
- Print one copy first to check the fit, then print as many as you need.
